Terms of use

What applies when you use EU Chat, above all to the files you upload, forward and share by link.

1. Who runs EU Chat

EU Chat is run by ViCo Ventures. These terms apply to everyone with an account and to everyone who opens a shared link.

2. Your content

What you write, upload or share stays yours, and you are responsible for it, not the operator. Upload and share only what you are allowed to. In particular, illegal content, content that infringes other people's rights (such as copyright, trademarks or personality rights) and malware are not allowed.

So that EU Chat can work, you grant the operator the simple right, limited to running the service, to store your content and deliver it to the people you share it with. It ends when the content is deleted.

3. Forwarding and sharing

Whoever forwards a file inside EU Chat makes it available to the people in the chosen conversations and is responsible for that copy.

“Share” creates a public link. Anyone with the link can download the file without an account until the link runs out (after 30 days at most) or is withdrawn. Only the person who uploaded a file can share it this way. With the first link you confirm that you may share the file and are responsible for sharing it. Who made which link, and when, is recorded.

4. No review in advance

The operator does not look at content in advance and is under no obligation to (Art. 8 of the EU Digital Services Act, DSA). It acts as soon as it learns of illegal content.

5. Reporting content

Every download page has “Report this file”. Explain there as precisely as you can why the content is illegal, and confirm that your information is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

Every report is reviewed promptly. Afterwards the link is withdrawn, the file is removed everywhere, or the report is declined. If you left an email address, you will hear back.

6. Action against violations

If content breaks the law or these terms, the operator can remove it or block access to it, and for serious or repeated violations the account too. The person affected is told what was removed and why.

7. Liability

Users are responsible for the content they upload or share. If third parties bring claims against the operator because of such content, you indemnify the operator to the extent that you are responsible for the infringement. The operator's own liability is governed by the statutory provisions.

8. Changes

If these terms change, EU Chat announces it before the new version applies.

As of September 2026.
